Africa Alive, Suffolk

title

Experience the “Plains of Africa” at Africa Alive! This is a truly exceptional re-creation of the African savannah set in a Suffolk coastal town. It’s home to exotic birds, cheetahs, hyenas and much more!

Family Safari

Africa Alive is one of the UK’s largest and most exciting walking wildlife safari and your kids will love it! Set in 100 acres of coastal countryside, this safari park is cleverly designed and gives an intimate view of the many species, including lions and giraffes.

Safari Road Train

Put your feet up and let the Safari Roadtrain take you around the safari park – the commentary will educate you and your family and you’ll be surprised by how much information you pick up. There’s no charge for your train ride which is an added bonus

Discovery Centre

For a curriculum linked discovery session, head to the Discovery Centre. There are lots of hands-on interactive features for everyone to enjoy. There are plenty of fun facts to test your knowledge and with a focus on conservation issues you’ll be opening your family’s eyes to a lot more than you expected.

A Great Variety

Your day at Africa Alive will be packed from start to finish, there is so much to see and do! As well as the safari itself, the Safari Roadtrain and the Discovery Centre, there is an adventure play area, crazy golf, a Farm Yard corner, the Wild Zone and a fantastic indoor play area for under 12s.

Build the excitement!

Get your children online before your day out to prepare them for the sights and sounds of Africa Alive. The safari park’s website (see further information below) has dedicated pages for children to explore called “Kids Zone” with games, puzzles, jigsaws, competitions to enter plus much more!

Highlight of the Day

The feeding sessions at Africa Alive are not to be missed!

We were a family of three with an 8 year old daughter looking to expand her knowledge of non-european culture. We picked the perfect base for this to happen. This is a place where you can open your mind and soul.
