Oceanworld

title

Home to Ireland’s largest collection of sharks, Oceanworld in Dingle is an awesome day out for all the family. See deadly piranhas, pacu and catfish and brilliantly coloured tropical fish in the tropical marine tanks.

Marine Life

The Dingle Peninsula is beautiful and is the setting for Ireland’s Oceanworld. You’ll find it on the waterfront opposite the harbour. The aquarium successfully and imaginatively presents a wide selection of marine life, guaranteeing that kids will be thrilled by the sounds and sights before them.

Amazonian Area

A surge tank cleverly replicates the action of the sea with the likes of crabs, anemones and shellfish. The Amazonian area is awesome, with seven displays showcasing South American species like piranhas and poisonous frogs!

Shark Tank

The very popular and crowd pleasing shark tank is home to reef sharks, sandtiger sharks, turtles, large rays and thousands of smaller fish. Maybe the most brilliant experience is the Ocean Tunnel’s fish-eye view where an awesome display of fish can be viewed swimming around and above and beside passing visitors. Children especially find this area of Oceanworld most pleasing and watching their faces is just magic.

Special Events

The Aquarium run special events throughout the year and these include fun raising events as well as raising awareness of certain fish. Check out their website for the latest events and see if you can combine one with your visit to enhance your day!

Marine Conservation

Oceanworld Aquarium has many partners in Marine Conservation and together they help many worthwhile marine causes including the white fish enhancement scheme, turtle rehabilitation scheme and the Irish Whale & Dolphin Group. The Aquarium strive to introduce educational tools to support their causes.

Highlight of the Day

Honestly, not my favorite place, not a lot of animals, the glasses were a little bit dirty, I expected more.
