Felinwynt Rainforest & Butterfly Centre

Felinwynt Rainforest & Butterfly Centre is a day out with a difference. Normally only found in tropical rainforests, you can see beautiful butterflies in Cardigan Bay on the West coast of Wales!

Star Attraction

The centre offers many attractions with a tropical house at its centre. In this tropical house your children can have fun spotting amazingly camouflaged stick insects happily living alongside brightly coloured birds, leafcutter ants and of course the star attraction, the butterflies.

Life Stages

Watch the Centre’s short film detailing the life stages of the butterfly and discover why they are such an important part of indicting the planet’s health. There are truly astounding facts to be heard and your children will be learning new things all the time.

Tropical House

The steamy environment of the Tropical House is the ideal climate for the butterflies living at Felinwynt. Waterfall ponds and stream help to provide the humidity needed. You need to make sure your clothing is layered as it’s hot in the House and you’ll need to take off layers to avoid grumpy hot children!

The Centre has an excellent cafe and shop on site to provide you with refreshments you may need during your visit. The cafe serves freshly cooked light meals each day and has a great range of hot and cold snacks. There are also gifts, books and greeting cards to buy as souvenirs or for friends.

Highlight of the Day

Meeting the owners, John and Dorothy and appreciating the passion they have for their creation at Felinwynt Rainforest and Butterfly Centre.

took our two little girls to see the butterflies and they really enjoyed themselves. £5.50 for adults and children under three are free. The place itself is only small but as enough space for you to wander about and see the many different species of butterflies
