Gypsy Wood Park

Gypsy Wood is a place of fairies and frivolity, of toys and tales and of play and playfulness. Come here to delight and enthral your young children in the shadows of magnificent Snowdonia.

Woodland Wildlife

The wood is home to Shetland ponies, miniature goats and small Mediterranean donkeys – all perfectly proportioned for children’s eyes! Bring along Wellington boots to tackle the wetland walk – a must, especially for children (and adults) partial to a little puddle jumping.

Child-friendly Delights

Feed the ducks, cuddle the baby goats, watch the peacocks proudly strutting and the llamas lolloping around – it’s all here in the 20 acres that is Gypsy Wood Park! It really is an enchanting outdoor attraction for all the family and is considered by many to be one of Wales best kept outdoor secrets.

Miniature Garden Railway

The Park is the setting for the UK’s largest miniature railway and you can all marvel at the intricate workings of this fascinating attraction. The railway boasts nine tracks that pass alongside a miniature replica of Snowdon. All the trains are modelled on actual trains that exist on the Welsh railway system including Welshpool and Bala. The fun thing about this is you can picnic by the miniature railway and then go and find the real life trains to ride on yourselves!

Highlight of the Day

The antics of the Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.

We had a lovely family day at gypsy wood on easter Sunday . we enjoyed exploring ,looking at the animals , playing in the park , going on the little train , meeting the fairy queen , face painting , the spiders web and playing on the push and peddle go karts .
Gypsy wood is very good for young children , its very magical and allows children to use imagination , explore .
We found gypsy wood to be a great day out and very good value for money , the only negative feedback we would give is that there isn’t much to choose from food wise and the food was a little bit overpriced but apart from that we couldn’t fualt it .
we would recommend it and will be visiting again .
